Collaboration Between Eminem & LL COOL J Baffles Questlove

Eminem and LL COOL J have come together, and Questlove, who is on tour with LL, felt a bit of envy because of it.

Before their F.O.R.C.E. Tour show in Detroit on August 18, Eminem and the "Headsprung" rapper posed for pictures outside the Little Caesar's Arena. LL also informed fans that they could win free tickets to the show by visiting Eminem's restaurant, Mom's Spaghetti, and mentioning "FORCE" during their purchase.

The caption on Rock The Bells' Instagram page read, "When legendary figures hit the city, you know it's always a significant event!" They showcased the connection between LL COOL J and Eminem ahead of the F.O.R.C.E. Tour in Detroit. To find out more, head to RockTheBells.com.

This led Questlove, LL COOL J's touring partner, to ask a question in the comments section. "Why didn't he join us? He should've performed with us!" he inquired.

Although Eminem didn't perform at the show, LL COOL J and The Roots' Detroit concert was still a packed event, featuring guest appearances by Common, Ice-T, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, and MC Lyte, according to the Detroit Free Press.

Over the years, the self-proclaimed Rap God and G.O.A.T. have become close friends. In 2021, Eminem revealed that LL COOL J had fulfilled his childhood wish by giving him coveted jewelry.

In a Behind the Music episode on Paramount+, Eminem discussed LL COOL J's iconic gold rope chains from the "I'm Bad" video. He recounted how a conversation with Rick Rubin led him to acquire his own set of chains.

"As a child, I always wanted a chain," he shared. "While recording with Rick Rubin, I asked, 'Hey, can you inquire where LL got his chains?' He had them made and sent to me."

He further explained, "He was the pioneer of rap stardom. I thought, 'I want that.' That's what truly inspired me to pursue rap."

Em and LL also shared the stage at LL COOL J's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in 2021, collaborating on a performance of his 1985 hit "Rock the Bells."

Reflecting on the moment, Eminem tweeted, "It was a great honor. 16-year-old Marshall is incredibly proud. Congratulations, LL!"
